Behaviours and habits acquired during adolescence can have long-term impacts. Smoking, alcohol use, obesity and physical inactivity are all examples of health-related behaviours that usually start in adolescence and contribute to the global epidemic of non-communicable diseases in adults. These behaviours are influenced by socioeconomic and cultural factors and are major determinants of future health inequalities.</p> ER -
